Legal presence documents confirm your eligibility to remain in Canada. Examples include a Canadian birth certificate, Canadian passport, foreign passport with valid immigration documents, or a Permanent Resident Card.

Out‑of‑Province Vehicle Inspection
When a vehicle is coming from outside Alberta, whether another province or another country, it may require additional verification before it can be registered in Alberta. This is to ensure the vehicle meets Alberta safety standards and, when applicable, complies with federal import requirements.
Depending on where the vehicle is coming from, this may include:
