Learner’s Licence Testing (Class 7)
Learner’s licence testing is available on a walk‑in basis — no appointment required — during our regular operating hours.

Testing is available Monday to Friday

Parental consent is required for applicants under 18

A parent or guardian must accompany the applicant for their first test and provide a valid photo ID

To obtain a learner's licence (class 7), you must

Be 14 years of age or older

Pass a vision test
-
Pass a written knowledge test on the rules of the road

Road Tests & GDL Information
We can guide you through Alberta’s Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program and road-testing requirements.
Before booking a road test, we recommend reviewing:

Road tests can ONLY be booked online or in the office.
Senior discounts:
Drivers aged 65 and older may be eligible for a 25% government discount on road test fees. To receive the discount, booking must be done in person or by phone — not online.
